This is a mellow jam session and musicians are welcome to sit-in with the band! There is a cover charge. Sometimes dancers show up because the space is huge at the Avalon and the dance floor is great.

The Just Jazz Quintet returns to Avo's for their regular third Friday of the month gig to get your weekend started right! We will be focusing on two very important jazz musicians at this show. Miles Davis would be 100 years old this year (May 26th) and Sonny Rollins just passed away at the age of 95. Miles's trumpet and Sonny's Tenor Sax were complemented by their strong leadership and excellent compositional skills. Both were jazz giants. We will be focusing on their music as well as great standards that they were known for playing and recording.

Dynamic and creative keyboardist Adam Bodine will be at the Crown Pub with Andrew Vogt! We will feature many pieces by Adam, several of which they recorded together on Adam's albums. Andrew Vogt compositions and arrangements will also be performed (Adam plays piano on Andrew's recent release "Optimistic Infinity House"). This duo gig will feature a lot of fun interplay between the two musicians as they play music from their various albums together as well as other jazz and popular surprises!
